Describe the question

One of my yazi plugins (piper, I think), required a later version than the latest release v25.5.31. So I installed the nightly release.

1. How safe is the nightly build?!
2. When is the next "stable" version going to be released?
3. What changes have there been since the May 2025 release?

Thanks for creating a great file app, especially when there are already so many good ones.

How safe is the nightly build?!

I use it as my daily driver without any problem

When is the next "stable" version going to be released?

I've paused all new feature requests and reviews of large PRs right now so I can devote all available bandwidth to preparing for the next release.

Specifically, I hope to resolve:

• Tracking issues of Remote file management #611
• ya can't install certain flavors #3355
• Escape sequences in the displayed UI are not handled and can break the visual output #3321
• ya pkg cannot install from subdirectory #3259

and a few small bugs on my to‑do list before the next release - we're 80% out there!
