How can I create canvas in a channel and update canvas using slack web api?

I would like to create a channel with canvas. Later make updates to canvas programatically. Is there slack web api available for this use case?

looks like the API methods are not available yet, I was also looking to it: https://api.slack.com/methods/canvases.edit
