How to see logs?

when trying to view a preview of the image (imv xdotool), xplr just hangs completely, how do I see any logs to see why this is happening

Try running the command in xplr shell.
Press :! to open the shell.

if you are using the fifo file approach, clear the fifo queue. E.g.

cat /tmp/xplr.fifo

Bash is a hard requirement for xplr.

But you can configure xplr to open nushell when you press :!
see the default init.lua.

However for everything else, xplr tries to spawn bash.
