Describe the enhancement
I’m reaching out to ask if there are any plans to support InfluxDB v3 in Home Assistant? The latest version introduces some compelling updates that could enhance the Home Assistant experience.
Home Assistant currently integrates with InfluxDB 1.x (via InfluxQL) and 2.x (via Flux). InfluxDB v3, released on April 26, 2023, brings a new architecture along with full SQL query support. This is a significant departure from the earlier versions and offers several technical advantages:
Adding support for InfluxDB v3 would allow Home Assistant users to take advantage of these improvements, offering greater flexibility, accessibility, and efficiency in managing their time series data.
Use cases

There’s also visible community interest in this, with discussions popping up on the Home Assistant forum and Reddit, showing that many users are excited about InfluxDB v3’s potential.
