Describe the enhancement
Feature Request: Display PRIORITY field from VTODO items
Problem
The Home Assistant Todo integration currently does not expose the
PRIORITYproperty when retrieving todo items viatodo.get_items.Missing Property
According to RFC 5545 (iCalendar), VTODO supports:
PRIORITY- Priority level (1-9, where 1=highest, 9=lowest, 0=undefined)Currently Available
The
todo.get_itemsservice currently only returns:summaryuidstatusduedescriptionProposed Solution
Extend the Todo integration to include the
priorityfield in thetodo.get_itemsservice response. This would enable proper task prioritization in Home Assistant dashboards and automations.
Create the option to sort by priority, assign colors to the priority.
Use cases
Many CalDAV/iCalendar applications (Nextcloud Tasks, Thunderbird, etc.) support priority levels for tasks. Without access to the
priorityfield, it's impossible to:Anything else?
