Hi,

I've been looking to more directly integrate my Plex Media Server in my Home Assistant dashboard, specifically integrating the possibility of selecting a show to watch and having it begin playing on my TV. Starting a specific episode, or show, or season, works well enough but if I start playing a specific episode, say episode 5 of season 1, it will only play that single episode and then stop.

It'd be nice to have the option to have it queue up the following episodes when the play_media action is called. It seems the functionality already exists in the Plex API used by the integration, and the initial steps towards implementing this were also completed in an approximately year old pull request https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/131979#issue-2708291852 but sadly it seems to have grown stale with no notable updates since December 2024.

Is there any possibility that this could be added in the future?

This feature would allow me to quickly begin playing a TV show from my Plex Media Server at any point from a script, automation or dashboard and have it continously play the following episodes in the TV Show with zero further actions required.
