That's precisely the argument to not add it just because there's so many use-cases --> That's exactly what templates are for so you can get exactly what you need. |

Describe the enhancement
Instead of having to create a template sensor/templating just to count the number entities within a group, it would great if we could have an option to select 'Count' as the group
state contentwithin the cards likebadges/tile.I've given examples of open/off state below, if this is not viable without templating, then just a simple group 'count' would be sufficient.
By implementing this simple logic internally, it makes it easier for everyone to use across the frontend.
