Updating enclosed dongle bootloader

I have the enclosed dongle running u2f bootloader 0.2.13-42
As per the documentation I cant update the bootloader using the uf2 file as it's older than 0.4.0
Is there a way to flash it without having to force off the enclosure or an easy way to get the enclosure off nondestructively?
