Yubikey and Google Cloud SDK CLI (via hidraw)

Has anyone been able to get gcloud CLI to see their yubikey?

My gcloud isn't able to see the Yubikey and it gives me the following errors:

Reauthentication required.
Please insert your security key and press enter...
No security key found.

I have a custom kernel compiled using the instructions at https://github.com/dorssel/usbipd-win/wiki/WSL-support
In addition to those instructions I also checked the following (otherwise gcloud would simply crash):

I can see the key correctly with ykman and gpg, the issue is just with gcloud (which uses hidraw).

Any ideas of something I could try?

It seems I finally managed to solve by recompiling the kernel again adding the following options:

Check HID Support -> User-space I/O driver support for HID subsystem
Check all drivers under HID Support -> USB HID support
