Private properties and methods

Hi, I'm just found this add-on and seems to be useful to me (I'm lazy to write It by myself ;-)

Could you change visibility from private to protected, so class can be easily extended and at the same time maintained by composer if you will make some changes, please? Some methods and properties are private and extending e.g. render() method is impossible without copying (almost) whole class.
