Good news, Tidal HiRes is coming, even if with a limitation: only the mpd/upmpdcli combination works as a renderer AFAIK.

With this commit, coming in the next few hour hopefully to a master build, we will be able to also use some WiiM devices with Tidal HiRes (MPEG-DASH).
This is possible due the latest firmware see here for WiiM Pro which improves support certain m3u8/HLS formats.
The WiiM Pro Plus model seems to have received the same changes here.
No sign of the same change for WiiM Mini, Ultra, Amp, Amp Pro, at least AFAIK.
I have a WiiM Pro and it's working.
I know, the WiiM already supports Tidal. But as a Linux desktop user I like to have the alternative of being able to use upplay and stream Tidal in HiRes to my desktop device(s).

Hello, newest "master" images created since today (2025-04-07) contain the version 0.8.3 of the Tidal Plugin, and should work in hires with WiiM Pro and WiiM Pro Plus devices.
