I'm using a Tonex One with a 4.3" display, and since I have two Chocolat displays and another Tonex One that I use for OD/Disto, I'm looking for a small display.
This time, I made sure it was an ESP32 S3 and not just an ESP32.
I thought the 1.69" version would work with the 1.9" display.
I didn't connect my 9V transformer because I saw 5V on the 1.9.
I'd rather have your expertise before connecting either 9V or 5V.

Hi. The thing with these type of boards is that while they are all ESP32-S3, the interface to the display is often different. The 4.3B, 1.69", and M5Stack boards all have different display drivers.
They also have different screen resolutions, and the UI is specifically programmed for the resolution and orientation.

This board might be OK, but I still can't find a schematic diagram for it. I need to see if it can provide power to external devices over USB-C, what type of display chip is used, and what other ICs are on the board that I need to control.
Until we can find a schematic diagram, I can't see if it would work or what changes would be needed.

The only boards that are officially supported are listed here:

Any other board that is not the exact ones above will most likely not work on the current code. Some of them could be made to work with code changes.
This 3.5" is similar in that it doesn't seem to have a schematic available for me to check.

Manufacturers like Waveshare, Lilygo and M5Stack are much better as they provide the full schematics and often example/demo code, that is a huge help for me when adding new boards.

Does the supported 1.9" display work with touch input? I would like to be able to move through presets with the on-screen arrows (without needing footswitches), but I don't see them in the UI screenshot, like in the 3.5B.

Hi. Yes touch is supported, and yes you can change presets via touch. It's done via left/right swipe gestures though, as that saves having to take up space with button images.
The 3.5B, 4.3B, and 1.69" touch models in the latest version all have changed to swipe gestures. I need to update the screen shots.
