Hi there!
Our release cycle is based on multiple factors, especially new important features regarding the OS itself. It's not a calendar flip. We don’t push versions out like fast fashion, we prioritize a system that actually boots.
Regarding OpenRC, we’ve chosen our current init system because it works perfectly for our goals. Adding a selectable init system adds massive complexity to the installer and the build manifest. For now, we're sticking with what works. Quality over variety!

yeah okay. i didn't wanna hyprland initially because of the complicated manual configuration and my system crashes on SSH Systemd with AGESA PI 1.2.0.3f. The Spread Spectrum bugs on 1.2.0.3g and my Edid is not Save on the system. Artix is also a different System. Niri has to be manuallyx updated too everytimes but Pika Niri OpenRC is maybe converting succesfully. Wanted to use Theom OpenRC actually with a mesa/vulkan 25.3.1 update release. i will ask the Archcraft Developer then maybe he releases Wayfire OpenRC or something, thanks! ☺️
