Describe your suggested feature

Currently, the Arabic interface of the app exclusively uses Eastern Arabic numerals (١، ٢، ٣، etc.) for displaying numbers such as verse numbers, page numbers, and surah numbers. This feature request proposes adding an option within the app's settings to allow users to choose between displaying Eastern Arabic numerals (١، ٢، ٣، etc.) and Western Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) in the Arabic interface.

Why?

While Eastern Arabic numerals are widely used in the Middle East, North Africans and a significant number of Arabic speakers grew up using Western Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.). The lack of an option to switch numeral systems can be a point of friction for these users, impacting their ease of use and overall experience with the app.

Proposed Solution:

Implement a setting within the app's Settings menu which allow users to select their preferred numeral display for all numerical elements:

  • Verse numbers within each surah.
  • Surah numbers in indices and navigation.
  • Page numbers.
  • Juz' and Hizb indicators.
  • Any other numerical information presented in the Arabic interface.
